Chinedu Franklin Ibe

ADEChinedu Franklin Ibe is a graduate of Physics from the University of Calabar and also holds a Master of Science degree (M.Sc) in Physics from the same University. In addition, he trained in Leadership and Change Management from the Darden Business School - University of Virginia, USA.

With over 24 years of working experience in the banking sector, out of which 12 years was in senior management position, Chinedu's career spanned through Ecobank Bank, Diamond Bank, Standard Trust Bank [now United Bank for Africa] and BankPHB [now Keystone Bank]. His experience cuts across Operations, Public Sector, Commercial Banking, Consumer and Retail Banking, at different geographical locations of the country.

Prior to his joining EEDC, he was a Deputy General Manager and Country Head, Classic and Direct Banking (a Division of the Personal Banking unit) at Ecobank Nigeria, where he was responsible for activating banking relationships in the mass market, with a view to encouraging banking inclusion. He was also an Assistant General Manager and Divisional Head in charge of Retail and Consumer Banking – North, comprising Abuja, the Middle Belt and Northern regions of the bank.

Chinedu is an Honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and actively involved in an Education Foundation, Anueyiagu Ibe Educational Foundation, focused on bridging and funding gaps for identified indigent members of his local community with over 50 beneficiaries so far.

Uday Deshmukh

ADEUday Deshmukh is an ICT and Automation professional with over 29 years experience in the power distribution sector. He holds a Master of Engineering (Electronics) from Marathwada University, India, and has a strong global understanding of power utilities.

He started his career as Instrumentation and Testing Engineer for state owned power generation utility in India, where he worked for both generation and distribution sectors and later joined North Delhi Power Limited (a Tata Power Company), a leading private power distribution utility in New Delhi, where he was instrumental to the execution of many automation and ICT initiatives, some of which are: OFC network, SCADA/DMS, Metering, AMR, Network Analysis and Planning, etc.

Uday also worked with Secure Meters, a leading meter company in India; IBM as a member of global centre of competence for utilities; Oracle Corporation as utility consultant in JPAC region and with Essel Utilities, a private utility company in India where he delivered complete IT applications suite for their pan India utility business across 5 towns.

He later worked with BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd. (a Reliance Infra Group Company), a private power distribution utility in New Delhi, India where he was responsible for the management of complete IT set up which include: SAP, SAP/ISU billing, CRM, OMS, SCADA, Enterprise Network and many others.

Uday is a member of CIGRE and holds Master of Engineering in Electronics from Marathwada University (India). He is currently the Head, Information and Communication Technology, EEDC

Evaristus Chijioke Mogbo

Mogbo

Evaristus Chijioke Mogbo is the Head, Regulatory. He holds a B.sc (Hons) Degree in Accountancy, from the University of Nigeria, and an L.LB (Hons) Degree in Law, from the same University. He was called to the Bar in 1988, after the mandatory training at the Lagos Law School.

He has had vast experience in finance, Accounts, and financial Management. He is also vast in Law and legal consultancy. He has years of work experience in the Nigerian Power Sector, and his last public assignment was as the Executive Director (Market Operator) at the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

He is a member Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), Associate of Chartered Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ACMA), a Certified National Accountant (CNA), Fellow of the Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI), and of course a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). He is happily married with children.

Okala Onuka Uche

ADEOkala Onuka Uche is a Lawyer with vast experience spanning infrastructure development and regulation; infrastructure project finance; public-private partnerships (PPP) options; privatization, commercialization, mergers and acquisitions; electric power sector reforms, power project documentation, Oil & Gas project finance; corporate management and finance and secured lending.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B (Hons) from University of Lagos, and was admitted to Nigerian Bar in 2005 (B.L.). While in the University, Uche was a co-editor of the campus-based Magazine called The JuriScope.

In August 2014, Uche joined EEDC as an Assistant Manager, Legal & Regulatory Department and was later promoted to the position of Manager, Regulatory Affairs in February 2017. In March 2017, he was appointed as Acting Head, Regulatory Affairs Department and confirmed the substantive Head in May, 2018.

Prior to joining EEDC, Uche was the Head of Chambers of Benchmac & Ince, a full bouquet law firm with extensive expertise in Electric Power Transaction. While with the Chambers, he was part of the Legal and Regulatory advisory team to the Federal Government of Nigeria on the privatization of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) and its 17 successor companies as well as the privatization of ten power plants owned by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited under the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP).

Uche is a member of various associations and working groups including the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) and Market Rules Working Group of the Transmission Company of Nigeria.

Francis Iwu

FRANCIS IWUEngr. Francis Iwu is a Health & Safety Professional with over 16 years experience in the management of Health, Safety & Environment. He started his career as a Site Safety Supervisor at Kimcotech Nigeria Ltd (A contracting company to National Agip Oil Company NAOC) where he supervised HSE in Onshore and Offshore facilities such as Tebidaba Flow Station and Boiling Operating Platform (BOP) in Bayelsa State.

He later joined the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria in 2007 and became a HSE Instructor and Consultant, a job he did for over six years before joining Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) as the HSE Manager in charge of Anambra State from July 2014 to September 2015. Currently, he is the Head of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), EEDC.

Francis holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Port-Harcourt, Post Graduate Diploma (Management) from Imo State University and M.Sc (Management) from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology. He equally has numerous Certifications in Health, Safety & Environment, such as NEBOSH International General Certificate, OSHA Professional Certificate, IRCA – OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor Certificate; ISPON HSE Competence Development Course Level 3, ITF Train the Trainer Certificate; etc. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON); Member, American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE); Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE); Special Marshal (Federal Road Safety Commission); Platinum Member of The Nigerian Red Cross Society and Registered Member, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
